Advanced Essentials of Post Rehab

Become a Post Rehab Conditioning Specialist™ with the American Academy of Health, Fitness & Rehabilitation Professionals. Start 'Bridging the Gap between Health Care and Fitness' with the Advanced Essentials of Post Rehab Fitness workshop. Advanced Essentials is the result of more than 10 years of teaching post rehab techniques and skills to post rehab professionals around the world.

We have included the latest post rehab research, concepts and guidelines in this innovative course. This course is designed as a workshop for the fitness professional that wants to get started in post rehab fitness and/or needs a refresher on the latest post rehab guidelines. If you want to start in the exciting new arena of post rehab fitness but aren't sure where to begin or you feel you don't have the skills and knowledge necessary to work with post rehab clients, the Advanced Essentials workshop is for you. In this workshop we will discuss exercise guidelines for a wide range of medical conditions. Each AEPRF participant receives the 174-page Essentials course manual and the Essentials workshop on DVD.

Included with your registration for the AEPRF course are the Foundations of Post Rehab audio course modules. Physical therapists developed the AEPRF course to ensure safe and effective post rehab programming for clients after discharge from physical therapy and chiropractic care. Post Rehab Conditioning Specialists are found working in health clubs, sports medicine clinics, chiropractic offices and physical therapy practices. This workshop is designed for exercise physiologists, personal trainers, nurses, kinesiologists and conditioning specialists that work with medically based clients. Participants must have a fitness degree, personal trainer certification or several years working in the exercise community. Contact Mia for clarification. This certification course is also worth 10 BCRPA credits.

The Happy Back Licensing Program

You will be purchasing the rights to the completely packaged 6-week Happy Back© program, along with eight hours of instruction on how to teach the program from session one through session twelve. This is a licensed program that will allow you to market and host this highly successful back care program in your community as often as the demand requires. I developed this program in 2001 and have been successfully offering it up to 10 times per year in the Comox Valley.

With this program you will receive the instructor manual with step-by-step instructions for each class, as well as the complete student manual, which you simply photocopy for your students. In our community I run the program every six weeks with a one week break and up to three programs at a time. Students pay $199 per session and I take a maximum of 10 students per class. This program is appropriate in a gym setting, physiotherapy setting, rehabilitation setting and chiropractic setting and the only equipment that is required are mats and Swiss balls, although weighted balls, stretch straps and BOSUs make the program much more exciting. Space in this licensing program is limited depending on the population base of your community. Students will require a fitness degree, a Post Rehab Conditioning Specialist Certification (available on the Saturday) or a Medical Exercise Specialist Certification. Contact Mia for details.
