Through the American Academy of Health, Fitness and Rehabilitation Professionals, the first "Medical Exercise Specialist" workshop was offered in 1994 in Washington, DC. Since then the Academy has trained more than 10,000 fitness professionals around the world. The Academy's elite team of instructors offer onsite workshops, DVD-based training and online learning to fitness professionals on five continents.
The PREPS post rehab protocols are used by medical professionals, rehabilitation specialists and even insurance carriers to establish exercise guidelines for clients with more than 60 medical conditions. Currently there are four onsite workshops, including the internationally recognized Medical Exercise Specialist workshop, the Advanced Essentials of Post Rehab Fitness workshop, the Post Rehab Skills workshop and the Post Rehab Business Profits workshop.
The Academy reaches thousands of fitness professionals with the e-newsletter, "The Post Rehab Connection", and presentations at fitness conferences and workshops throughout North America. Since 1994 the owner, Dr. Michael K. Jones has presented at more than 400 post rehab presentations in more than 60 cities in North America. Now it is time for his elite team to take over.
